Harriet has loved theatre since childhood, beginning her impressive career directing neighborhood plays. She has two degrees in Performing Arts, a B.A. from Michigan State University in Theatre with an emphasis in Directing and an MFA from Wayne State University in Directing. She worked in the Los Angeles area as a Director, Choreographer and Actor where she and husband Fred created The Orphan Players, at the Broadway Playhouse. During her fourteen year residency with SCRT, Harriet has written and directed several shows, including the “Trinidad-Our Stories” series, acted and choreographed several others, and served as coordinator of Youth Programming. “Artists can’t stop creating. We’re very fortunate to live in an area that supports the arts in all their forms.”


Carpenter is a native of Colorado and a graduate of Denver School of the Arts. He attended New York University. Most recently, Eli directed WALL! A Thinly Veiled Metaphor for Our Current Political Landscape Disguised as a New American Musical for the Edinburgh, Scotland Fringe Festival. Previously, Eli has been an assistant director at the Denver Center for the Performing Arts working with directors Jenn Thompson, Sam Buntrock, and former Denver Center Artistic Director, Kent Thompson. Eli is a member of the Lincoln Center Director’s Lab in New York City. Throughout the appointment, Eli will split his time between Trinidad, Denver, and New York in an effort to draw artists from across the nation to Trinidad, Colorado.


Bernadine is a native of Trinidad. She has worked for credit unions, a US Senator in Cody, Wyoming, Las Animas County Government and volunteered for organizations such as the National Alliance of Business, Junior Achievement, United Negro College Fund, League of Latin American Citizens, Mi Casa, and United Way. Bernadine works as an Administrative Assistant for SCRT, training and supervising box office volunteers, among many other critical projects. She loves fishing/camping, traveling and spending time with her family.


Carol volunteers as the Accountant/Bookkeeper for SCRT.  She obtained an associate degree from Trinidad State Junior College and attended Regis University where she earned a BS and MBA in Finance and Accounting.  She is employed at Century Savings & Loan in the position of VP of Accounting & Financial Reporting.



Ren brings his services and expertise to the SCRT, addressing a wide gamut of projects ranging from technical to artistic.  A "transplant" from California, he has honed his skills over the years in technology, psychology, web design and general I.T. project management.

Jeffrey is the SCRT's Artist in Residence. He received his MFA in Theatre/Acting from University of Denver and an MA in History from Cal Poly.  Jeffrey wrote and performed "BullMoose! 1912", a one act play about Teddy Roosevelt, at the SCRT in the Spring of 2016; he teaches History at TSJC; and he is working on other writing projects.
