Southern Colorado Repertory Theatre (SCRT) is asking the community to support its mission of providing live theatre performing arts by donating to them on Colorado Gives Day, on December 4.
Colorado Gives Day is an annual state-wide campaign to increase philanthropy through online giving. The event uses the year-round giving website, ColoradoGives.org. Non-profits receiving a donation on Colorado Gives Day will receive a percentage of a $1 million fund established by a $500,000 contribution by both Community First Foundation and FirstBank, thus increasing the value of every donation received.
"On this day, thousands of people come together to support Colorado non-profits like SCRT. We are incredibly honored to have qualified to partner with Community First Foundation and FirstBank for this historic yearly event," said in a release from SCRT.
The donations we receive on December 4 will help us do more to support our community and help ensure continued affordable live entertainment for all ages" said SCRT Executive Director Harriet Vaugeois. "Our goal is to receive 2000 individual donations on December 4th, which is a big part of our operational budget. We also want a share of that $1 Million Incentive Fund."
SCRT has a 16-year history of providing theatre arts to Trinidad. The program is dedicated to providing year-round entertainment options for the community and tourists alike, with a dedicated youth academy in the summer focused on professional training for a variety of ages.
